‘MOVICALS’
MOVICALS was our student showcase performance for the class of 2025.
Students were asked to choose a song from a movie musical and create an aerial performance around the character or theme from the movie.
Working in pairs or groups of three, students are devising their choreography and conceiving their costumes, while learning about the creative process behind devising an act for a performance.
I see my job as facilitating their creativity, so I try to stand back to give guidance and offer advice only where necessary.
The show takes the format of a cabaret with our venue turned into
a theater with lights, sound and seating.
